Meet the Coach

Tim Dugger, President and owner of Career Cafe’, was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Highland, Indiana. In 1977 he graduated from Indiana University School of Business with a degree in Marketing/Advertising and a minor in industrial psychology. Following four years at Firestone’s Industrial Products Division in Noblesville, Indiana and The Premier Rubber Manufacturing Co. in Dayton, OH, Tim began his recruiting career.

In 1981, he joined Management Recruiters of Indianapolis recruiting exclusively for the rubber and plastics industries in the areas of technical, manufacturing, and sales management. In 1988, Tim went to work for E & A Industries, a company which had been on the Inc. list of 500 fastest growing companies for four years, as Vice President and General Manager of one of their small automotive chemical businesses.

When that business was sold in 1990, he formed SearchPro Group of America, Ltd., providing executive level technical, sales, and manufacturing management to select client companies within the rubber industry.

In May of 1999, SearchPro Group purchased Pyramids Personnel, a then 23 year old Administrative and Managed Care recruiting firm. Renamed The Pyramids Group, the company provided Executive, Middle Management, Technical and Medical professionals serving the Accounting, IT, Manufacturing, Medical and Legal markets nationally and throughout the world.

After many requests from individuals seeking career guidance, Tim created Career Transition Strategies in 2000 and Career Cafe’ in 2009. Today Career Cafe’ provides fee-based Career Coaching and Consulting Services to transitioning professionals.

When he’s not helping others, Tim enjoys spending time with his two daughters, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter. His passions include boating, motorcycles, racquetball, reading, attending Jimmy Buffett concerts and playing guitar and piano badly.
